Sounds of Summer: South African keyboard player Manfred Mann launched his career at the famous Brill Building with the help of songwriters Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich. In the ’60s, Mann formed a rhythm and blues pop band, also called Manfred Mann, and part of the British Invasion.
